Terms of Service
Last updated 17 July 2026
These terms apply whenever you commission, order, or purchase a Lagomá ceramic wall installation, whether installed by us in person or shipped to you for self-install. By placing an order, you agree to the terms below.
Custom Orders & Deposits
Every Lagomá installation is made to order. To begin production, we require a 50% deposit of the agreed price. Because your pieces are slip-cast, glazed, and fired specifically for you, this deposit is non-refundable once production has started — at that point, materials and studio time are already committed to your piece. The remaining balance is due before shipping or installation.
Pricing
Prices shown on our website (including the visualizer) are starting estimates based on grid size, shape, and fulfillment method. Your final price is confirmed in writing before any deposit is taken, and may vary based on glaze selection, wall complexity, or site conditions for professional installations.
Cancellations
You may cancel and receive a full refund at any time before paying your deposit. Once a deposit has been paid and production has begun, the deposit is forfeited if you cancel, but you owe nothing further. If we are unable to complete your order for any reason on our end, we will refund your deposit in full.
Professional Installation
In-person installation is currently offered within the greater Cape Town area, by appointment. The installation site must be accessible and ready (clear wall space, no obstructions) on the agreed date. If access isn't available and we need to reschedule, we'll work with you to find a new date, though repeated rescheduling may incur a call-out fee.
Shipping & Self-Install Orders
For orders shipped to you, every piece is carefully packed with full spacing and adhesive instructions for self-installation. If any piece arrives damaged in transit, contact us at team@lagoma.co.za within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damage, and we will remake and reship the affected piece at no cost to you. Lagomá is responsible for pieces arriving intact; we are not responsible for installation outcomes on self-installed pieces, so please follow the included instructions carefully or reach out with questions before you begin.
Intellectual Property
Design layouts, photography, and creative work produced for your installation remain the intellectual property of Lagomá unless otherwise agreed in writing. We may photograph completed installations for our own portfolio and marketing unless you ask us not to.
Limitation of Liability
Beyond replacing pieces damaged in transit or defective through no fault of the customer, Lagomá's liability is limited to the amount paid for your order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from the use or installation of our products.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes will be handled under South African jurisdiction.
